Cozy Winter Vibes

It was a cozy, stay-at-home winter for us. The combination of a baby and covid gave us little desire to get out much so we did a lot of hibernating.
The extra time gave me an opportunity for extra pictures of this boy :) He doesn’t mind the camera being in his face.

Hi, mama!

My sister’s friends tragically lost their infant daughter in January. We kept the kids for them one night so they could be with Katie and Joe. Even though we never met her, we all loved baby Ruby and our hearts are broken for this family.

The big girls took full advantage of their time together and played salon.

Ruthie does not like leaving her mama but Aunt Kait worked a little maternal magic and we made it just fine!

After a two year hiatus, our girl is dancing again! I don’t know who is more excited, her or her parents :) We love her dancing. She had missed it and she’s glad to have an activity again.

We bought Georgia a desk for the reading nook in her room during her kindergarten year so we started the hunt for one for Jack. Mom saw this one on FB Marketplace and I jumped on it and got it! We bought it for $80. I think it will become a family piece.

Boss baby has started eating some cereal and food. I tried BLW but the gagging (which is normal) gave me anxiety so back to baby food. I’m an old fashioned mom and I’m ok with that :)

This is a picture I found on the internet, thankfully we have all been covid free to date. I was just amazed at how the milk changed. This disease is scary.

School pictures were delayed until winter. Isn’t she beautiful! She has grown tremendously this year. I am so proud of her.

K, 1st and 2nd. I love school pictures and the nostalgia they have!

Big boy is enjoying seating up in his booster seat. He’s the happiest baby!

And the cutest along with his brother and sister :)

Mamaw and papaw tested positive for covid on February 1st. On February 7th, they were both admitted to the hospital for complications. I will do a separate post devoted to this journey and share more details.

Our boy is slightly farsighted and has to go to the optometrist once every six months. Things haven’t improved but they haven’t worsened either; we go back in another six months for further monitoring. He will likely need glasses if we don’t start seeing improvements soon.

It finally came a real snow! John’s first snow. I like baby’s first snow is so special.

Of course mommy had a photo shoot

He just learned to sit up a few weeks before the snow so it was perfect timing to show off his new trick.

Cheeks for daysssss

The snow gave us an extra week at home with no school or work. Thank you Jesus for the blessings of each season.

One snow day we took to Poppa’s hill for some sledding (John boy just posed for pictures)

He was content observing from the heated jeep!

Mom and baby loved watching, snuggling and staying warm while everyone else had fun in the snow

Ma posted this and I laughed so much! His expression says it all.

O dog enjoyed the snow too!

My kitchen window view. I am blessed!
