August 2017

School started back and these two headed back to AKK Preschool. This was Georgia's last year at AKK. She still misses her AKK days even though she loves school.

I'm pretty sure Jack had gotten a hold of the chalkboard before pictures could be taken... :)

Every day someone is chosen to lead the class in pledge. I'm thankful my mother-in-law captured a day that he was the flag boy!

Our washer went out in August 2017 so off to Lowes we went. We decided to replace both units with a new, nothing fancy, basic white GE set. I'm typing this 2 1/2 years later and so far they have proven to be a good choice!

Just a little afternoon playing in the playhouse. They are both in jammies living their best life!

We attended a birthday pool party for Ace in August and I snapped this of the kids in front of Marty and Haley's house before we went in. It's a beautiful home and I think those are some beautiful models.

The first weekend of August took us to Louisville for Donnie and Juleah's wedding. I was a bridesmaid and for the rehearsal dinner, we spent the evening on the Louisville Belle.

I love me some Karla! She is a role model to me in lots of ways and always been a true friend. She does NOT age!

The beautiful bride calm and cool and ready for her big day!

August 2017 also meant the wedding of one of my best friends, Juleah. I am normally pregnant in weddings so it was nice to be able to wear a normal dress like everyone else ha! These four ladies are amazing and I'm so glad they have been a part of my life.

What a blessing this girl has been to me from the beginning until now. She was my ride in high school in her blue cavalier until I got my license and the first friend that snuck me out a party I wasn't suppose to attend :) No matter where life has taken both of us, we have stayed connected through each move and milestone. I love you, Ju!

Alicia and I. She is a dear friend that I have bonded with through motherhood and school. She introduced me to Lil Angels Attic which is where I get 75% of my kids wardrobe so she's been invaluable. She also gives great parenting advice and set a good example with her twins for me to follow.

Congrats Donnie and Juleah! It was a gorgeous weekend and a gorgeous wedding.

High school football began for the 2017 season and these cuties attended a few games to cheer, woller in the bleachers, and eat all the ballgame foods.

This picture always makes me smile. It is from their back to school pajama party at AKK, an annual tradition the day before school starts. He decided to color his hair for the occasion. He started the crazy shenanigans early in life :)

We experienced The Great American Eclipse on August 21st. This was an event that received a lot of hype in the US and we were actually situated in an area where we would have totality, meaning we could see the full effect of the eclipse for a good period of time. We decided to head to Lake Malone to our friend's family cabin where the totality was even stronger. We took Granddad which was such a blessing in hindsight. He really enjoyed the day and the event!

Rachel and I in our solar glasses. School was cancelled for the day and family kept the kids for us so we could enjoy a kid-free day at the lake. We also didn't know how safe it would be for the kids because we feared they wouldn't leave their glasses on.

A few pictures of the light changes that do not do the eclipse justice, but you can see in the second picture where the night lights came on by the beach. We were able to witness the eclipse for around 60 seconds. It's an experience we won't forget!

Georgia was in a Barbie phase. Sweet girl loves to play independently.

I'm sure the reason I have a picture of this is because of its rarity. Jack ALWAYS wants to sleep with Georgia and she never lets him! We probably either made her this night or she was tired of hearing it and gave in, but look at that sweet, happy smile on Jack boy's face :)

Dance started back in August and this girl was ready!

Shanna's last outing with her niece and nephew before Wick's arrival. They sure love their Aunt Shannie!

Grandmomma and the great grandbabies waiting on another great grandbaby :)

Wick Coleman Hall was born on August 29th, 2017 weighing 6 lb 13 oz and 19 inches long. He is such a blessing to all of us and he has a special place in Aunt Kait's heart! Shanna was a champ and it was a very uneventful day with so much excitement and love.

Proud Uncle Marcus! Wick doesn't know how lucky he is to have this man as a role model.

The boy club

Uncle Jake and the cousins patiently waiting

Look at how proud she is!

He had my heart from day one-love this boy so much!

We thought he looked a lot like his Pa Mark. He was perfect!

I took this picture when we were allowed to go back and see them, I love it so much. My favorite part might be Jack peering around the curtain to make sure his Aunt Shannie was doing ok <3

I couldn't resist a picture of my big babies with one of our favorite OB nurses, Susan. She was in the delivery room for both Georgia and Jack., she had a beautiful way of keeping me calm but helping me progress. I still have a video of her showing us how to give Georgia a bath. She is just an exceptional person! I'm so glad our paths have crossed in life.
