Family Beach Pictures 2014

The good ol' blog has taken a backseat this week as we prepared ourselves for our big move. With closing day on our house approaching and family in town to help we have been moving little by little all week. We hope to be finished by this weekend and then we will breathe the biggest sigh of relief ever. How can you accumulate so much stuff in only four years of marriage and in an 895 square foot house? I don't know either but we have. Even though we will be going to a much larger house I still see some purging in the future.

But before we get too far into the future, I have to share our beach pictures. I know y'all have been a nervous wreck wondering when I was going to post them HA! These are part of my family's story so I'm sharing and please be prepared for some picture overload. And tons of cuteness courtesy of a pretty perfect 1 1/2 year old.

I think I have my first pieces of art for the new house. However I have no clue how I will ever pick which ones to use. Maybe I'll just cover every square inch of wall with them :)

Thanks again to Sarah Lyn Photography! Our expectations were exceeded.

I hope your weekend will be much more relaxing and box-less than mine. We have a ton moved already but still have so much to do. And these beach pictures are just making me want to go on vacation instead :) Back to packing, happy Friday friends!

One Year Pictures

I'm doing a little back blogging today for Georgia Grace's one year pictures. In my defense I just received them on Tuesday so I'm posting as quick as I could :) I mentioned through her birthday festivities that this photo shoot did not go well and I was thinking there was no way that we would even get one decent shot but to my surprise there are a few that I love.

Sweet daddy getting the balloons set up for the birthday girl.

So happy to be a big one year old! She was really hamming it up in the beginning.

My pretty little lady

And there's the happy birthday girl!

Everything was great until right after we took this picture and a bee popped one of the balloons. It scared her and she was done after that.

She wanted to be held the rest of the time.

We caught a few smiles here and there.

This melts my heart. A daddy's girl no doubt.

So sad! She just wasn't having it.

This was our best family picture that we got and I think it turned out great. You really only need a few good ones anyway.

"It's my birthday and I can cry if I want to!"

Oh those alligator tears.

We called it quits after this one ha!

She was smiling in this one :)

O-dog came to the farm (SIL and BIL's house) and had the best time running loose! He loves the farm so much.

If you think it's always peaches and cream around here, this is proof that things don't always go as planned. But that's part of our story. I'll always remember this photo shoot no doubt. Just like I'll always remember this year's Santa picture. It's all just a season.

Smiley, picture perfect photos are boring anyways :)

6 Month Portraits Finale

A few (I am lying, it's more than a few) more photos that I just had to share on the blog! There are 212 to choose from. Do you realize the level of anxiety I felt when I sat down to order these? I was a mess. But they are ordered and I couldn't be happier with them!

biscuit legs ;)

This attempt was a hoot but I looooove this one!

Be still my heart.

Pattycake in a baby carriage-COME ON!

There's just something about a baby girl in a bonnet

I never get tired of looking at these. Just some special things to note:

1. The quilt we are using was made by my great-grandmother Thelma McCoy
2. The ducky and monkey in the carriage picture was mine and Marcus' favorite stuffed animals when we were little. The sock monkey was handmade by Marcus' great grandmother Essie Flener, he was the last grandchild to receive one due to her hands no longer being able to make them. Such a special special piece.
3. I made the dress she is wearing in the last picture :)

This was such a fun shoot and I can only imagine how amazing her one year photos will be! I hope we take our precious time getting there.
