iPhone Dump

It's time for a good old-fashioned photo dump. My pet peeve is having over 300 photos on my iPhone and I have well exceeded that lately so it's time to purge them on to the blog.

Just a little extra Easter cheer! She's going to have to step up her egg hunting game if she wants to fill that basket.

We visited Meme over the weekend and really enjoyed getting to see her. She sent me home with a beautiful bowl that I can't wait to display. Love this sweet picture!

Just looking scrumptious in the front yard. I love those little hand dimples so much.

I have had an intern with me at work for the past three months and she finished up a few weeks ago. She was a HUGE help and I dearly miss having her around. I am the only dietitian in my hospital so I appreciated her camaraderie. Good luck Mayo!

Ok y'all I can't even handle this. Can not. Get out of that car immediately baby girl and do something babyish!

She did get out but didn't do something that was for babies. She helped Pa plant hanging flowers for their house. I think she is going to have a strong work ethic.

And maybe be an entrepreneur. She decided to plant her own things :)

Weee! Morgan and Georgia Grace swinging. Morgan was so sweet to give GGH her dollhouse that she doesn't play with anymore. Love that sweet girl!

Just a few notes from this week:
-She started saying school bus and Mickey Mouse
-She calls herself baby when we show her a picture of her. The next Jennifer Grey??
-She hates being home. Really she does. Two times she has started crying when we pull in the driveway. She wants to "go go" all the time! Sigh.
-She eats much better if she can eat food off of our plate. Something about the fact that it's ours makes it more appealing. We're going with it!
-A few nights this week we have put her to bed and she wakes back up and talks to herself for about an hour. She just jabbers away and is completely content with some alone time in her crib with her pillow and stuffed animals. I think she is going to value her solo time like her Mommy.

Weekend

I think Valentine's Day should be on Friday every year. What a great lead in to the weekend! And it also doesn't throw off the week routine. It sure helped us to start Saturday and Sunday on the right foot.

I have mentioned how bath time hasn't always been our favorite thing but the tides have turned and we have a little fish on our hands. She was having such a good time Thursday night that we let her stay in the tub for about 20 minutes and she was a prune when we got her out. A happy prune I should add :)

February 14th was a big deal for GGH this year because she got to spend the holiday with her AKK friends. They are all so sweet to always include her and her buddy Konnor even got her a special Valentine. They said he couldn't wait for her to get dressed to give it to her and he said, "It's ok because she has hearts on" HA! Love that sweet boy.

Georgia Grace with all her AKK preschool friends. She isn't enrolled in the preschool program yet but since Gram keeps her in the same house as the preschool it's just natural that she wants to be around them. She loves the "kids"!

You might recognize her Valentine's outfit this year. It's one of her Christmas dresses from 2012 and 2013. I am not ashamed but proud to say we used one dress for three holidays! And It's very possible you may see this again this December as well. That's why I love dresses that can be worn as tops!

Friday night Marcus and I went to eat out at Rafferty's while my mom kept baby girl. Here she is laying on their bed eating fish! She rules the roost if you had any doubts.

My mother-in-law had us over for steaks Saturday night so it was another weekend of hanging up the apron. I'm going to forget how to cook but no complaints here. Sister sledge acting like a silly goose!

And probably the highlight of the weekend-our first ponytail!! At first she wasn't sure about mommy pulling on her hair but once it was up she wore it proudly. It is off the charts adorable! It gives her a whole new look. And yes she does look older :((

Happy Monday!

Savoring September

Fall technically doesn't start until the 22nd but with the arrival of September I consider my favorite season has arrived! And with fall comes the anticipation of the holidays and cooler weather. My goal for this month is to savor the picture perfect weather and less busy schedule before we are all indoors and running around like banshees. Here are a few pictures of us savoring September-

"Before you know it she'll be off driving the Camaro" was the caption for this picture I received from my MIL. I am in love with this picture! This was her daddy's car when he turned 16 so it is definitely special to us. She looks so serious behind that wheel. Like she's seriously considering taking off. Dream on, baby girl!
Her favorite thing to do right now is make messes. She had just went through her entire diaper bag in this picture. Yesterday I was needing to do some things without her help  so I put her in her crib with her diaper bag and she went to town. Thirty minutes of housework completed-score!

Loving on gammy and looking extra tall after our flu shot last week. She sure loves her gammy!

Aunt Paigey gifted Georgia Grace with a shopping cart for Christmas last year and I pulled it out of storage this week. It has been a big hit! Here she is after a recent shopping trip for groceries and diapers-just like mommy :) She must be taking notes.

Cheering on cousin Keagen at his junior pro football game. We have gotten so much wear out of the bear/wildcat paw onesie Aunt Rachel made her. We are squeezing in it until the snaps pop ha!

A recent squirrel hunt for my papaw, dad, and Marcus warranted a picture with the boss. She was tickled if you can't tell. And sporting some epic bedhead :)

And Marcus with some of his kiddos after their game on Tuesday. They were SO happy he came. Melted my heart.

Happy hump day. I am running on fumes after a rough few nights of sleep. Extra caffeine is in order!

Birthdays, Ballgames and In Between

This week we...

  • Cheered on the Bears at their Homecoming game with our sweet friend Raven. Sadly there wasn't much to cheer about, we were on the other end of the stick from two weeks ago. We still had fun visiting with everyone!

  • Attended our best baby friend's first birthday party! Abbott is one! And this guy earns the crown as the best smash cake destroyer EVER. There is a video of him that would go viral if they put it on Youtube. It was so awesome! His party was the cutest with all the farm and rustic details.
Georgia Grace had fun playing with Abbott and Caroline. They decided to tag team her and see who could rip her bow out the fastest. Notice Caroline is holding the bow and Georgia's hair is a mess ha!

I guess she had had enough LOL! Sweet babies.

I've had several ask me where my dress came from. It is a Target summer clearance snag! I am totally making it work for fall though by pairiing it with cards and boots. Best 12 bucks I've spent in a long time. And GGH's dress is handmade by me :)

  • Ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel and went to church with my dad, sister, and future brother-in-law. Zane Pratt was the speaker at Eric's church and we were excited to hear him. Georgia Grace and I spent the majority of the service in the lobby but I heard he brought a wonderful message! :)
  • Played dollhouse with our AKK friends. She plays so well to be just ten months old. She loves learning and exploring new things.
  • Started blowing kisses! To men only. That's right, she's probably blew 10 kisses and they have all been to men. Pray for us.
  • Developed a love for cheerios. It's her new favorite food.
  • Upgraded to a new iPhone and realized when transferring pictures that this pic collage never made it to the blog. So I had to do something about it so here it is posted a month late ha! Nine months in, nine months out. A year and a half of accepting my call to be her mommy. I am blessed!
And last but definitely not least I have a prayer request. Please take a moment and pray for 4 month old Ryman Little. Ryman is in desperate need of a second liver transplant after an unsuccessful transplant about a week ago. You can read all about her journey here. Brandy is from my hometown and I went to school with her sweet sister Sara. Their faith is evident and they know God's hands are on her. I know they would covet any prayers you could send their way today!

iPhone Dump

Standing up in her crib at grandmomma's. This is how we find her most mornings. I love this little character!

She is pulling up on everything!! All her decisions seem to be based on if she thinks she can climb the object ha! And everyone looks just a little more adorable pulling up in a lobster romper.

This side table in our living room is one of her favorites. She will grab the knob and hoist herself up to a standing position and go through all the items in the little opening between the tabletop and cabinet door. Magazines, kleenex, pens-nothing is exempt from this girl!

Georgia Grace has spent a lot of the last two weeks poolside with Aunt Shanna, Grandma Harrison, and Grandmomma while they are on vacation from AKK. My daughter gives me major eyebrow envy! The perfect arch.

Look at those teethies coming in! Bless it that looks painful to me. She seems to be back to her happy, wild self now thank goodness.

Daddy and Georgia Grace surprised me Wednesday by showing up at my work to have lunch with me! I was beyond thrilled to see them and get to show off my baby doll to my colleagues. GGH loves visiting TLRMC and they love seeing her too. I let her play with my toy food in true dietitian fashion. It was a great visit. I love that my husband planned such a sweet mommy treat for me without it being a special occasion!

She loved my toy food so much she now has some at grandmomma's house. They caught her making a healthy choice-cucumber instead of a slice of pizza HA! She is her mother's daughter (but actually I probably would have chose the pizza).

Happy Weekend!

My Girl GGH

I am going to post more pictures from the hospital soon but for now I wanted to share some super cute pictures of Georgia Grace from this week!

This picture reminds me so much of my sister Paige. I posted it on Facebook and that was the general consensus from everyone else too! You know Paige is just eating this up!

And look at how long she looks in this picture! She was 19 inches at birth, Marcus had me to get the tape measure out to measure her this night and she appears to be well over 20 inches already.

We had newborn pictures taken by Julia last Friday. What an eventful experience that was ha! Georgia does not like being naked or doing anything but eating or sleeping so I'm sure we were difficult even though Jules would never tell me that :). I know they will be great! I will post them very soon!

And here she is sporting some legwarmers! We had socks on but had already lost them at this point. I wonder is every baby that way? We can't keep socks on her for anything. I think the legwarmers are darling and I see us investing in more in the future.

Today us girls (+ Owen) are enjoying a quiet day at home. Temperatures are dropping this week so I see lots of baby cuddling in the near future!
