One of my favorite blog posts is the year in review recap that I did last year for 2012. This year hasn't had quite as many huge events for our family as 2012 did but it's been memorable and fun just the same.
We've watched Georgia Grace go from baby to a walking talking toddler in a years time. We left 2012 as very green young parents and though we might still be green in some areas, we are now experienced and feel better about ourselves as "mommy" and "daddy".
Here is what our 2013 looked like month-by-month:
I went back to work 4 days a week after being home on maternity leave for 10 weeks. We also moved Georgia Grace to her crib (12 weeks).
Georgia Grace learned to roll over and we had our first snow of the season which she did not enjoy.
We attended the SEC tournament in Nashville and came home with our tails tucked after we lost the first game. You win some, you lose some.
We also celebrated Georgia Grace's 1st Easter. She just so happened to be the cutest Easter bunny I've ever seen :)
I turned 26 on the 7th, it was my first birthday with a helper to blow out the candles.
We took our first semi-long trip with Georgia Grace to Cincinnati for a work conference for me. She loved the city life!
She sat up for the first time and never looked back.
1st Mother's Day and our third year wedding anniversary
She took her 1st swim in May too.
1st trip to the beach as a family of 3! We learned that she travels really well and we couldn't be happier about that.
1st Father's Day for Marcus.
6 month portraits arrived-my favorite session of all time
1st Independence day, lake days, 1st Blogiversary, and my sister's engagement
1st haircut, Marcus started his 4th year of teaching, and Marcus turned 25.
Spent Labor Day at mom's brand new pool, had a Steve Madden boot named after our Georgia Grace, were on a billboard, and went to the Governor's Cup.
The busiest month of my 26 years of life!
My sister and BIL tied the knot on the 18th
And we celebrated Georgia Grace's 1st birthday on the 26th. A busy but blessed month no doubt.
First weekend getaway (UK Homecoming) and first snow of the season
2013 was good in so many ways. There were bumps in the road like any year but looking back it's obvious how blessed we are with our faith, family, friends, and health. God is good!
