First Trip To The Pumpkin Patch

Today we took Georgia Grace to her very first pumpkin patch. I have been looking forward to this trip for a long time! We decided to go on a week day to avoid the huge crowds which proved to be a good decision. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

We went to the local favorite Jackson's Orchard. Marcus and I both went here as kids with our families and on school field trips so it's special to be able to bring Georgia Grace to the same place.

This picture makes my heart skip a beat. I don't know how I got so lucky to get to call her mine. We let her pick out one of the big pumpkins to take home. I plan on personalizing it for the birthday bash in two weeks.

We had a parent fail moment and forgot to bring our stroller but Jackson's Orchard to the rescue! They let you use these little Radio Flyer wagons to pull around your pumpkins (or a baby) so we used it to pull Georgia Grace and our diaper bag. This made a much better photo op than the stroller anyway :)

She was ready to walk when we got there after the 30 minute nap/car ride. She is still more comfortable walking with us holding her hand. Take your time sweet girl, take your time.

Our only family picture from the day taken by a sweet lady who offered to take one. Not the best but I still love it.

A trip to Jackson's is not complete until you have had an apple cider slush. It is heaven in a cup. GGH loved it just like her mommy and daddy.

Such a big girl standing with the corn stalks. She was so observant of all the other kids and what they were doing. This was what most pictures looked like ha!

Checking out the pie pumpkins.

Selfie with my little punkin. Fake grin to the max! :)

She really loves pumpkins y'all. She would have been completely content to just play with them the whole time. She would pat them, push them over, tear down stacks of them, and put leaves on them. Cheap entertainment.

After we rolled the pumpkins for a while, we took a hayride to the actual pumpkin patch and corn maze. We are planning a hayride for her birthday party so I was anxious to see if she liked it and it was a hit!

The corn maze was an interesting experience. Our hayride driver told us to just keep taking rights and you will eventually get out. Well, after a couple dead ends from right turns we created our own path ha! We eventually made it back out. She was in amazement the whole time.

She's serious about her pumpkins

Hubby looking very handsome and Georgia Grace wanting to get down. She could have stayed there all day.

Don't let my outfit fool you. It was hot! Thankfully we went in the morning and left before the peak of the heat and crowds. But we were already warm at 10am. I toughed it out and just perspired :)

My sweet October baby<3

It was a really great morning. It's one of those days that will always stick out in my mind when I think back to Georgia's baby days. This really is the best season. Weather and life.
