Christmas Continued

We celebrate Christmas in lots of different ways with lots of different people and I want those events documented as well so this post is devoted to all our other Christmas festivities.

I had two busy elves on Christmas Eve Eve. One nice elf reading Christmas books and one naughty elf snatching ornaments :) She's a sweet sister to let him tag along as much as she does.

We had a nice Christmas dinner at Grandmomma's on Christmas Eve Eve. Most days I feel like a zookeeper but it's the best job in the world. The magic of Christmas was alive and well in our home this year!

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to go to Grandmomma's for a big country breakfast and to exchange gifts with them. She has a humungous Santa in her dining room that both of my babies love.

Her Aunt Shanna's old tap shoes, a nutcracker Christmas gown, big red bow and the cutest little smile. Does it get any sweeter than this?!

Sweet girl ready to open presents. She liked opening her presents first and then playing with her things while the rest of us opened.

Jack was able to do some of his own opening this year. He mostly liked trying to eat the paper though :)
One of her favorite gifts was a nativity scene snowglobe. Her eyes lit up when she received it!

Georgia and Ma Christmas Eve morning in their jammies :)

Between Christmas Eve festivities we came home for Georgia to take a nap and I snapped a few photos of our boy on his first Christmas. He loves his new train set from Ma and Pa.

Showing off his two sweet teethies!

We always spend Christmas Eve at my mom's house and this is my stocking. It is probably circa 1991 but I enjoy the nostalgia of it every year! We were big holiday Barbie girls. We had the Barbie, the Barbie ornaments, the stockings...it was a hard core obsession.

We determined this was an extra fun year for Georgia Grace because she practically got to open her and Jack's gifts.

Her fourth Christmas. The years are flying by. She will be starting school before we turn around and going to slumber parties and wearing makeup (she would LOVE to do that now ha!) and all those other big girl things that I am not ready for.

We gifted most of our family members with canvas prints of the babes. Both grandmas have started "grandbaby walls" :)

Our annual iPhone self timer family picture ;) It only took two tries to get everyone looking, it was a Christmas miracle!

Jack, Aunt Paige, Uncle Eric and Georgia Grace. They spent the night with us on Christmas night and we loved having them as house guests!

This picture sure tells a story. I told Cody I wanted his picture with both babies. He pulls out a chair to sit in and I was like nah you got this, just hold them. Well, after a near drop from the bachelor uncle we plopped them down on the floor and called it a day ha! It was a sight but all survived to tell about it :)

Our first Christmas with double the blessings!

The most exciting part about Christmas this year was sharing the news that my little sister was expecting! I have known for what feels like forever. She is due around the 4th of July and we cannot wait! To God be the glory!

She has felt icky throughout her pregnancy so far and I found her in my mom's kitchen sipping on pickle juice HA! I'm calling boy. Her symptoms are so similar to my pregnancy with Jack.

We put the kids in their Christmas Sunday best and took their pictures before we headed to church. Pictures with these two are interesting but I don't seek perfection, just purpose.

My mom came over on her way to church and snapped a few family ones for us. Most of them are out of focus and this one slightly is but not too bad. It has been such a warm December! We haven't had to wear coats hardly any yet. Love my sweet boy in his knee socks and sweet girl in her Christmas bonnet.

I snapped this one right before my mom left and I love it. They sure love their Gammy!

And this is what the rest of Christmas looked like for us. Pajamas all day and playing with our new toys. I am so thankful for our playroom these days. We spend a lot of time there.

I have a few more odd and end Christmas pictures I will try to share tomorrow to put a big red bow on the holiday and move on to the new year! I am excited for 2016. We have several fun vacations planned and a first birthday coming up in the spring. It is always fun to have a fresh start!
