My Sister Is...

engaged!!!

And I have to share my Facebook status exclaiming the news:

"Always the bridesmaid, never the bride" until now!!! Oh happy day! I love you Paige and Eric!

A little background-my sister is 22 and has been a bridesmaid in seven weddings. SEVEN. Just 20 away from the infamous #27 that we have jokingly said she is pursuing. All joking aside, what a testament to say you play such an important role in so many people's lives. That's the kind of person my sis is! She always puts others before herself and she has a heart of pure gold. The fact that she has found the love of her life and now they are planning their forever together makes me the happiest sister in the world!

I thought this was hilarious. My sister is such a Starbucks junkie they were advertising on her Facebook wall! Seriously?!? Ha!

So Monday afternoon following the engagement Eric's family had an engagement party in Bowling Green for all of the family to meet and celebrate. They were so gracious to drive from Corbin to make it convenient for us and they brought the best food from the coffee shop they own-delicious! His family is wonderful. Just like him. The party couldn't have went any better.

We met Eric's dad Ted, his mom Karen, and his twin sister Ariel who is pictured above and SO beautiful! Ariel is an interior designer so she will totally be the leader on the wedding planning. I will be her assistant ha! Pinterest won't even be able to handle us. We already have so many ideas and we just met two days ago! I feel really good about this :) Eric's brother Andy wasn't able to be there and was missed, we look forward to meeting him in the future.

And this little lady provided the entertainment for the evening. She had us all busy passing her around, strolling, playing in the grass and so forth. She's very excited that she is going to be the "flower baby"!!

My heart is so full right now. Eric is an answer to our prayers-he is Paige's lumberjack! :) [That's another story for another day.] I'm praising Jesus tonight for this couple that have chosen to devote their lives to each other but firstly, to Him. I'm sure He already has big plans for them that are beyond our wildest dreams!

Congrats Aunt Paigey and soon-to-be Uncle Eric!!! We love you!
